Australia have thrashed hockey minnows Samoa 26-0 in the opening match of the Oceania Cup in Invercargill.
Australia scored their first goal in the fifth minute after Samoa started promisingly by successfully defended four consecutive penalty corners.
However the Samoans could not hold out the barrage of attack as the game progressed.
Jamie Dwyer struck five goals for the Kookaburras and Simon Orchard grabbed four, while Luke Doerner, Grant Schubert and Desmond Abbott scored a hat-trick apiece.
