Ross Taylor's tremendous series against the West Indies has been reflected in the latest world Test rankings, with the New Zealand batsman moving up to a career-high number four.

The list is headed by the South African pair AB de Villiers and Hashim Amla, followed by the West Indian great, Shivnarine Chanderpaul.

Taylor's scored 866 runs this year at an average of 72.16 and now sits ahead of the Australian captain Michael Clarke and the Sri Lankan Kumar Sangakkara in fourth spot.
