Western Sydney too good for Mariners

Western Sydney Wanderers maintained their flawless home record this A-League football season with a commanding 2-0 win over Central Coast on Monday night, lifting them top within two points of top-placed Brisbane - while the Mariners drop to sixth.

Both goals were scored in the first half and the victory ensures remain the Wanderers are the only side still unbeaten at home this season.

The top two teams, Brisbane and Western Sydney, have opened a four-point gap at the top of the table over Melbourne, Newcastle and Sydney FC.
