Wellington Phoenix midfielder Vince Lia says to string back to back wins this season will be a huge boost for the capital's A-League football side.
The Phoenix followed up last Sunday's home win with a 1-0 win against bottom side the Melbourne Heart in Victoria's capital last night.
Lia, the only foundation player left at the club, says the two wins have reiterated they are doing the right things.
He says the team's been positive the whole way through and they haven't had back to back wins for a year and a half, so it's massive for the club.
The Phoenix now sit six points above the Heart, level on 10 points with eighth-placed Adelaide.
The Wellingtonians stay in Australia for a New Year's Day date with the Wanderers.
