Top seed and defending champion David Ferrer and third seed John Isner appear on track to meet in the final of the Heineken Open men's tennis tournament in Auckland.
The four-time Spanish champion, Ferrer will play Yen-Hsun Lu of Chinese Taipei in the semi-finals, while American Isner will play Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain.
In the quarter-finals both Ferrer and Isner had tough three-set wins.
