Guildford ready for new challenges in rugby career

The former All Black winger Zac Guildford says now is the right time for him to make a move overseas.

Guildford has signed a two-year contract with French club Clermont and will begin his new adventure after this year's Super Rugby competition.

He says he started looking at overseas options last year, and with so many talented wingers lining up for the All Blacks jersey, it's time he tried something new.

Zac Guildford has struggled with alcohol problems in recent years.

But the 24-year-old says he's feeling confident in his ability to cope with those issues, and will build further support structures when he arrives in France.
