Black Caps fast bowler Milne turns heads

The performance of the New Zealand fast bowler, Adam Milne, in the Twenty20 win over the West Indies on Saturday, has turned heads.

While the 21-year-old's match figures of 1 for 15 from four overs weren't particularly startling, his ability to consistently bowl faster than 150 kilometres per hour has many within the New Zealand camp excited about his future.

Milne's fastest ball was 153-point-six kilometres per hour, placing him among the fastest bowlers in world cricket.

The New Zealand wicketkeeper, Luke Ronchi, says Milne's performance was especially impressive given the slowness of the pitch.

Milne will get another chance to demonstrate his pace in the final T20 against the West Indies in Wellington on Wednesday.
