Fiji will still compete at the Wellington Sevens next month despite the Fiji Rugby Union having its funding suspended by the International Rugby Board.
The IRB is withholding more than $2 million in funding to the union due to governance and financial reporting issues, raising concerns about thier ability to front at the Wellington tournament.
However the, Sevens Wellington general manager Marty Donoghue says Fiji will still be in Wellington as the team's logistical costs including food, accommodation and travel are covered by the tournament.
