England finally get win in Australia

11:28 am on 15 January 2014

England have got their first win in eight matches on their shambolic cricket tour of Australia, crushing a Prime Minister's XI by 172 runs in Canberra.

The tourists set 264 for eight from their 50 overs, led by Jos Buttler's 61, before dismissing the invitational side for just 92.

English captain Alistair Cook, who suffered another failure with the bat, says the win is the morale boost they need for the one day series against Australia.

The next ODI is at the Gabba on Friday.
