The Silver Ferns have held off Jamaica to win the first netball Test of the tri-series 52-46 at Wembley Arena.
New Zealand led by five after the first quarter, but were unable to shake off the Jamaicans who kept it close throughout the contest.
The Sunshine Girls cut the lead to just three in the final quarter, but the Ferns scored six straight goals to effectively seal the game.
