Dhoni blames openers for loss

India may have been knocked off their one-day international cricket pedestal by New Zealand, but captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni insisted morale remains high.

After going 2-0 down in the five-match series against New Zealand after a 15-run loss in Hamilton, India has dropped to number two behind Australia in the one day world rankings.

But Dhoni says says they're not dwelling on that.

He put the loss down to the slow start by his side's opening batsmen in their run chase.

New Zealand go into Saturday's third match in Auckland with chance of wrapping up the series.
