Lochhead returns to MLS

The All Whites defender Tony Lochhead has siged with the Los Angeles-based Major League Soccer club Chivas USA.

The 32-year-old has been looking for a new club after he was dropped by new Wellington Phoenix coach Ernie Merrick, following six seasons with the A-League side.

Lochhead has previously played in the MLS, turning out for the New England Revolution from 2005-2007.

Chivas are currently last in the Western Conference of the MLS.
