Pulford and O'Donell win national 10 thousand metre titles

Aaron Pulford of Whangamata has won the National 10 thousand metre title at Mt Smart in Auckland.

Pulford won in a time of 29 minutes and 47 seconds pulling away from Wellington's Hamish Carson over the last 4 laps.

Lydia O'Donnell was the clear winner in the women's championship although she was beaten to the line by visiting Australian Sarah Klein.

Klein's race-winning time was 34 minutes and 53 seconds while O'Donnell from Auckland recorded a personal best of 35:05.
