Manchester United's record signing Juan Mata says he can't wait to link up with new team-mate Wayne Rooney.
It had been suggested in the British media that Mata's move to Old Trafford from Chelsea for 75 million dollars could lead to a potential off-season switch for Rooney in the opposite direction.
But Rooney is now in talks with United to extend his current deal.
And the 25-year-old Spanish forward says for him Rooney's one of the best players in the history of this country... he's an unbelievable player.
Mata could be playing with Roonet very soon, as manager David Moyes revealed both Rooney and Robin van Persie trained today ahead of tomorrow's league tie with Cardiff.
