Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova has posted an upset three-set victory over Russian compatriot and top seed Maria Sharapova to charge into the Paris WTA Open final.
The 26th-ranked Pavlyuchenoka ended the 2012 French Open champion's run 4-6 6-3 6-4 at the Stade Coubertin and the former junior champion now faces Italian third seed Sara Errani in the decider.
Errani got the better of French hope Alize Cornet in a three-hour marathon 7-6 3-6 7-6 in the other semi.
