Defending champion Serena Williams certainly looks the one to beat heading into the second week of the US tennis Open in New York.
The second seed marched into the quarter-finals with a ruthless 6-2 6-0 victory over 22nd seed Daniela Hantuchova.
The women's draw has lost so many seeds that there are none left in the top quarter, with number six Svetlana Kusnetsova the favourite to make the final from the top half.
Serena is seeded to meet Kim Clijsters in the semi-finals.
