Scotland will join New Zealand's pool at the Cricket World Cup in 2015 after recording a 41-run victory over the United Arab Emirates in the final of the qualifying tournament at Lincoln.

The 2005 champion lifted the trophy for the second time after posting a total of 285 for five and then restricting the UAE to 244 for nine.

Skipper Preston Mommsen was the star for Scotland with an unbeaten knock of 139 from 149 balls that included 12 fours and one six and earned him the man of the match award.

The Scots now join co-hosts New Zealand, four-time champions Australia, Bangladesh, England, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan in Pool A.

The UAE has also qualified for the World Cup and will join Pool B, along with defending champions India, Ireland, Pakistan, South Africa, West Indies and Zimbabwe.
