The Indian cricketers say they got what they wanted from their 2-day tour game against a New Zealand selection in Whangarei.

The match, which is the only one before the first Test at Eden Park this week, ended in a draw with India scoring 313 for 7 in reply to the New Zealanders 262 for 9 declared.

Captain for the match Rohit Sharma says all the batsmen got some runs and both the batsmen and bowlers got what they wanted from this match.

He says they're looking good and raring to go for the Test.

The first Test starts in Auckland on Thursday.
