NZ snowboarder concerned about Sochi jumps

The New Zealand snowboarder Rebecca Torr has joined the chorus of concern about the state of the jumps after the opening event of the of Sochi Winter Olympics.

Torr was among four New Zealanders competing in the women's snowboard slopestyle event.

None of them managed to finish in the top four of their respective heats, which would've ensured they advanced straight to the finals and must now contest the semi-finals on Sunday.

Much of the criticism has centred on the height of the jumps and officials have reduced the original height.

Torr says the jumps weren't built properly although she's comfortable with their height.
