200 for McCullum

Brendon McCullum has scored a double century on day two of the first cricket Test against India at Eden Park in Auckland.

The New Zealand captain brought up the milestone with the last ball before lunch having resumed his innings this morning on 143.

New Zealand went to the break on 473 for 7 after adding 144 runs for the loss of three wickets in the morning session.

Corey Anderson was adjudged LBW for 77 although replays showed the ball missing the stumps.

BJ Watling was caught at slip for one and Tim Southee was bowled after bludgeoning 28 off 21 balls.

McCullum is 202 not out and Ish Sodhi is unbeaten on 18.

The lanky pace man Ishant Sharma has been the most menacing of India's bowlers snaring four wickets for 122 runs off 30 overs.
