Naughty pair dropped from second Test

The New Zealand cricketers Doug Bracewell and Jesse Ryder have been stood down from selection for this week's second and final Test against India in Wellington.

The pair breached team protocols by going out drinking the night before the first Test, which the Black Caps won yesterday by 40 runs at Eden Park in Auckland.

The national coach Mike Hesson says he's disappointed that the actions of Bracewell and Ryder have detracted from what was a heck of a Test victory.

Hesson won't say if either player has permanently blown his chances with the team, and there's an ongoing investigation into the issue.
