Manawatu golfer Tim Wilkinson has posted his best-ever finish on the US PGA Tour with a three-way share of seventh at the latest event at Pebble Beach in California.
Wilkinson started the final day tied for second place at the $8 million dollar AT&T tournament, six shots off eventual winner and playing partner Jimmy Walker - but as others finished in red numbers, the 35-year-old could only manage a one over par finish.
He ended five shots behind Walker, the leading money winner this season, who actually carded a two over 74 final round - but he still won the tournament by one shot from fellow Americans Dustin Johnson and Jim Renner.
Walker finished on 11 under par.
