Hesson says Taylor is irreplaceable

The New Zealand cricket coach Mike Hesson admits Ross Taylor is irreplaceable, but feels there are some players on the first class scene who deserve a shot at Test cricket.

Taylor, who along with Kane Williamson has been the most consistent batsman this summer, will not arrive in Wellington on Tuesday as he remains at home awaiting the arrival of his second child.

Hesson says he'll be missed if he can't line up in Friday's second Test against India.

Batsman Tom Latham and allrounder Jimmy Neesham are among those being considered as a possible replacement for Taylor.
