Argentina's hopes of qualifying for next year's football world cup in South Africa remain in the balance along with manager Diego Maradona's job.
Argentina lost their fourth game in five, 1-0 to Paraguay on Thursday to be in fifth place, outside the four automatic qualification places and in real danger of missing football's showpiece for the first time in 40 years.
87 percent of respondents in a poll by newspaper La Nacion think Maradona should resign, and just 20 percent think Argentina will qualify for the world cup.
