Black Sticks surrender halfime lead to lose to Great Britain

The New Zealand women's hockey team have been beaten 2-1 by Great Britain in the opening match of their three nations tournament in San Diego.

The Black Sticks scored first and led one-nil at halftime after Anita Punt scored from a penalty corner.

The assistant coach Sean Dancer says they made some basic errors in the second which let Great Britain back into the game.

The Black Sticks play the United States tomorrow morning.
