Warriors touted as tournament favourites at inaugural NRL Nines

The New Zealand Warriors are being tipped as title favourites for the NRL Nines in Auckland, with two rugby league legends installing the hosts as favourites to win the inaugural tournament.

Andrew Johns and Gorden Tallis are adamant the home side will be in the mix come finals day on Sunday with Brisbane Broncos, Queensland and Australia hardman Sam Thaiday in agreement.

The World Cup winning 28-year-old says with Kiwis star Shaun Johnson, England fullback Sam Tomkins and speed machine Glen Fisiiahi in their squad, the Warriors are the team to beat.
