Germany has ended Austria's dominance in the ski jumping team event at the Sochi Winter Olympics, taking gold in a down-to-the-wire competition.

Russia's Alexander Zubkov and Alexey Voevoda earned their country's fifth gold medal of the Olympics by winning the two-man bobsleigh.

Jamaica's Winston Watts and Marvin Dixon failed to make it into the top 20 of the event and went out after the third run.

Anton Kushnir completed a Belarusian double in the ski aerials by winning men's Olympic gold.

Another Belarusian, Darya Domracheva, again outclassed all her rivals in the women's biathlon 12.5-kilometre mass start to take a stunning third gold medal in Sochi.

And two-time world champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White claimed a first Olympic figure skating ice dancing gold for the United States with new world record scores.
