Jesse Ryder's night out before the first cricket Test against India has cost him a place in the New Zealand squad selected for next month's ICC World Twenty20 tournament in Bangladesh.
Indiscipline's the reason given by the selectors, while Kane Williamson has made the spin-friendly 15-strong squad after missing the T20 matches against the West Indies.
Also selected are three others who weren't used in this summer's limited overs internationals - spin bowler Roneel Hira, part-time spinner Anton Devcich and paceman Trent Boult.
Bowlers Adam Milne and Matt Henry were not available for selection due to injury.
The Black Caps' campaign begins on March the 23rd with their opener against England.
