It appears increasingly likely that this year's Indian Premier League cricket tournament won't be held in India.
The start of the tournament clashes with the countries parliamentary elections.
The government says it is having to use security forces for the polls and won't be able to provide adequate cover for the IPL.
South Africa is now the preferred option for the tournament which runs from April to June.
