France's medal sweep in the Olympic Games men's freestyle ski cross competition has been placed under investigation after rival teams accused them of bending the rules.

Jean-Frederic Chapuis, Arnaud Bovolenta and Jonathan Midol took all three medals at Extreme Park.

Canada and Slovenia both lodged complaints to the Court of Arbitration for Sport after their original protests were deemed to be too late by the International Skiing Federation competition jury.

In a statement the Court of Arbitration says the apellants allege that just before the Big Final, French support staff changed the shaping of the lower leg suits of the riders.

This created an aerodynamic effect that the appellants submit is contrary to the International Freestyle Skiing Competition Rules.
