Captain happy with White Ferns performance

The New Zealand women's cricket captain Suzie Bates says her side is showing far more consistency.

The White Ferns won their one-day series against the West Indies with a 95-run victory in the second match at Lincoln yesterday.

Bates says they have been inconsistent in recent times, but she was particularly happy with their batting and bowling effort yesterday.

After batting first Bates thought 240 would have been a good score and so to make 274 for 5 with Sara McGlashan making 71, was pleasing.

The result means the White Ferns have an unassailable lead in the best of three series, having won the opening match by nine wickets.

The final match is tomorrow at Lincoln, before the two sides meet in a T20 series.
