The Breakers guard, Corey Webster, has been fined for a breach of team protocol following Friday night's game against the Wollongong Hawks.
The point guard used the social media site Twitter to express his frustration with the National Basketball League's referees after a loss that further dented the Breakers' slim playoff hopes.
Webster deleted the tweet shortly after.
His 500-dollar fine has been suspended, subject to him not making any further breaches this season.
