Brown hopes NZer will win Open

The New Zealand golfer, Mark Brown, is hopeful a rejigged format will help break New Zealand's 11 year drought at the national open.

The tournament is being held in Queenstown this week at Millbrook and the Hills, incorporating a pro-am format after merging with the PGA Championship.

No New Zealander has won the New Zealand Open since Mahal Pearce since 2003, but Brown says there's no reason that couldn't change this weekend.
