More starting time for Adams?

7:17 am on 26 February 2014

The New Zealand NBA basketball player Steven Adams appears set for more starts for the Oklahoma City Thunder after their regular centre Kendrick Perkins underwent groin surgery.

Perkins is expected to miss six weeks of the NBA season.

Adams has started all three games that Perkins has missed this season for OKC, who are in first place in the Northwest Division.

Adams only played 16 minutes starting against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday and scored just one point.

He's averaging 3.2 points and 4.2 rebounds.

Oklahoma play Cleveland at home tomorrow.
