Bowls NZ taking match-fixing claim seriously

Bowls New Zealand chief executive Kerry Clark says they're treating an allegation of match-fixing very seriously.

The New Zealand men's four of Gary Lawson, Shayn Sincock, Jamie Hill and Shannon McIlroy have been stood down following a complaint from Canada and World Bowls after last month's Asia/Pacific Championships in Malaysia.

They've been accused of deliberately under-performing in losing a match to Thailand which cost Canada a place in the play-offs.

Clark says there'll be a judicial hearing but the time and venue haven't been decided.
