2 more world championship medals for NZ cycling team

The New Zealand track cycling team has won 2 more medals at the World Championships in Colombia.

Southland's Tom Scully finished second in the points race, just 4 points behind the Colombian winner.

Manawatu's Simon van Velthooven won bronze in the men's 1000 metre time trial finishing behind a French and German rider.

New Zealand has won 5 medals so far... a gold, a silver and 3 bronze.

Meanwhile defending champion Aaron Gate is in 5th position after the first day of the omnium.
