Mitchell Johnson has been rested from Australia's three-match Twenty20 series in South Africa.
The left arm pace bowler will link up with the T20 squad next week in Bangladesh for the World Twenty20, having been given extra time to rest his weary body after a long and successful summer, highlighted by his 22 wickets in the just concluded three-Test series with South Africa, and 37 English scalps as Player of the Ashes series against England.
