Australia's world golf number four Jason Day has been a late withdrawal from the World Golf Championship event in Florida.
Day is suffering from a thumb injury and he decided to not to tee off today to avoid the risk of further injury, little more than a month before the first major championship of the year, the Masters.
He said his left thumb had been a problem since the WGC Matchplay Championship in Arizona, which he won.
