Sisters selected for NZ women's golf team

Wellington's Julianne Alvarez and the Auckland sisters Munchin and Wenyung Keh have been named to represent New Zealand at the Queen Sirikit Cup amateur golf tourament in Malaysia next month.

Alvarez won the New Zealand Amateur Championship last year.

17-year-old Wenyung Keh will be making her debut in the national side.

The Queen Sirikit Cup is an annual contest between the nations from the Asia Pacific region - that is officially known as the Amateur Ladies Asia-Pacific Invitational team championship.

New Zealand has won the Queen Sirikit Cup on three occasions, in 1984, 1990 and 1999.
