Three days after ending the New Zealand Breakers' hopes of a fourth straight Australian basketball league title, the Melbourne Tigers have again come back to win with a dominant late performance.
Trailing the visiting Sydney Kings by two points at half-time, star guard Chris Goulding inspired Melbourne to the 92-82 victory with an impressive 50-point haul - a record for the 40-minute era of the NBL.
Goulding's scoring blitz included nine three-pointers and eclipses Kirk Penney's mark of 49 for the Breakers back in 2010.
The win all but books third spot for the Tigers and a likely date with the Adelaide 36ers in the playoffs.
