Blackadder wants more spontaneity

10:59 am on 10 March 2014

Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder wants his players to chance their arm more, after the South Island side escaped with their first win of the season on Friday night.

Scraping past the Stormers with a dubious late penalty's exposed again the somewhat ponderous nature of the seven-time champions of late.

Blackadder's hoping his troops will chance their arm and take the opportunities that open up, rather than just staying within the structure.

The next assignment for the Crusaders is a trip to Melbourne on Friday night to face the Rebels.
