The American golfer Sean O'Hair has a one stroke lead after the opening round of the PGA tour ending Tour Championship in Georgia.
O'Hair had six birdies in his four under par round of 66.
British Open champion Stewart Cink of the United States, Ireland's Padraig Harrington and world number one Tiger Woods are tied for second.
The $10.5 million event is restricted to the top 30 players from the tour with the winner of the Fedex Cup for overall standings picking up a $10 million bonus.. Tiger Woods currently tops the standings.
