Auckland City has beaten Team Wellington 1-0 in football's provincial final to win their fifth national Premiership and end a five-year wait to lift the trophy.
Emiliano Tade scored in the 31st minute for the home side, which dominated posession to deny Wellington an equaliser.
The Auckland captain Ivan Vicelich was impressed with the opposition, which he says made winning the title awesome.
Both Auckland and Wellington have qualified for the Oceania club championships in 2015, although City go through automatically while the capital club has to qualify.
