Mixed news on injury front for Blues

6:01 am on 17 March 2014

Some good news on the injury front for the Blues with a number of players expected to be available for next weekend's Super Rugby clash with the Cheetahs in Auckland.

However they do have further injury concerns.

The Blues are on their way back from their winless trip to South Africa with Patrick Tuipulotu suffering a knee injury against the Lions. Tuipulotu will have a scan on his arrival, but he will miss at least two weeks.

Tevita Li will also have an x-ray after suffering a hand injury against the Bulls a week earlier.

Charlie Faumuina had some lumbar back pain on Sunday and it will also be reassessed post-travel.

Jerome Kaino, Ma'a Nonu, Jamison Gibson-Park, Baden Kerr and Hayden Triggs are all anticipated to be fit for Saturday's home game against the Cheetahs.
