Pennetta wins Indian Wells

Italian veteran Flavia Pennetta has won the Indian Wells women's title with a clinical 6-2 6-1 rout of injured second-seed Pole Agnieszka Radwanska in the final in California.

It's the biggest title of Pennetta's career. The 32-year-old needed just an hour and 13 minutes to blow past Radwanska, who was troubled by a left leg injury.

Pennetta hadn't won a singles title in four years.

Better known as a doubles player, Pennetta had contemplated retiring last year after tumbling down the world rankings but has rediscovered her best form.
