Change of opponent for Parker

The Auckland boxer Joseph Parker has had a change of opponent for his April bout on the undercard of Vladimir's Klitchko's world heavyweight title fight with Alex Leapai.

Previously slated to meet the Ukrainian Andriy Rudenko, Parker will now fight the 41-year-old West Indian Sherman Williams, one of Klitchko's sparring partners.

Nicknamed the Carribean Tank, Williams has only been stopped once in 52 bouts which include 36 wins, 13 by knockout.

Parker says he's happy with the new opponent.

His trainer Kevin Barry says the fight on the April 27th will be a test of the Aucklander's stamina, having won all of his previous six professional fights by knockout inside six rounds.
