The Netherlands captain Peter Borren hailed his team for creating a "new memory" as the Dutch side prevailed over Ireland to qualify for the main draw of the World Twenty20 in Bangladesh.

The Dutch chased down a target of 190 in just under 14 overs to advance ahead of Zimbabwe and Ireland on net run rate.

The Australian-born Tom Cooper smashed 45 in 15 balls as the Netherlands qualified for Group One of the Super 10 stage, where they'll join Sri Lanka, England, New Zealand and South Africa.
