White Ferns beat Pakistan

The New Zealand women's cricketers have scored their third straight win at the Twenty20 World Cup in Bangladesh, beating Pakistan by 59 runs.

After winning the toss and batting first, captain Suzie Bates hit an unbeaten 94 off 61 balls as the White Ferns made 167 for three.

Bates and Sophie Devine put on 84 for the opening wicket. Devine finished on 44.

In reply Pakistan lost regular wickets and finished on 108 for seven with Felicity Leydon-Davis taking two for 15 from her four overs.

New Zealand top their group with their last group match against South Africa on Tuesday morning. They beat Ireland by 42 runs in their second match and recorded a seven-run victory over champions Australia in their opening match.

Meanwhile the Australian captain Meg Lanning hit the second highest individual score in the history of women's Twenty20 internationals, smashing 126 as her side thrashed Ireland by 78 runs.
