Gunners in comeback draw with City

9:22 am on 30 March 2014

Arsenal have come back to draw 1-1 with Manchester City in London, after Premier League leaders Chelsea were earlier upset 1-0 at relegation-threatened Crystal Palace.

That's led the Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho to proclaim that the title is now beyond his club.

In another topsy-turvy day in English football's top flight, Gunners midfielder Mathieu Flamini fired home the 53rd-minute equaliser after David Silva opened the scoring after 18 minutes at the Emirates Stadium.

That's kept Arsenal's unlikely title hopes just alive - the Gunners are five points behind Chelsea with six games left.

But it looks like Manchester City's title to lose, with two games in hand on Chelsea and two points behind the Blues, who lead by a point from Liverpool - so the Reds can go top on Monday if they beat visitors Tottenham Hotspur.

Elsewhere the champions Manchester United repelled Aston Villa 4-1, Southampton thrashed Newcastle 4-0, West Bromwich Albion drew 3-3 with Cardiff City, Stoke beat Hull 1-0 and Swansea thrashed struggling Norwich 3-0.
