Despite drawing their last five A-league football matches the coach of the Wellington Phoenix, Ricki Herbert is confident wins will come.

Last night on the Gold Coast the Phoenix drew nil all with the competition leaders, keeping a clean sheet for the second week in a row - but it's also the second week in a row they've failed to score.

Despite having the better of the match and creating plenty of opportunities to score the Phoenix were still unable to find the back of the net.

Herbert admits they've certainly had their chances but feels if they keep playing as they are things will turn in their favour.

Herbert and the side's six New Zealand internationals, now travel travel to Bahrain for the All Whites world cup qualifier next weekend.

The remainder of the Phoenix squad will regroup in Wellington to prepare for the resumption of their A-League campaign, away to North Queensland on October 17th.
